The Lehár Villa in Bad Ischl at Lehár-Kai 8 in the Salzkammergut was a property of Franz Lehár .He bought it in 1912 from the Duchess of Sabran and since then spent almost every summer in this house. Museum of Technical History came about through private initiative and soon became put into action. After a relatively short construction period, the museum was opened in July 1990 and has since confirmed by steadily increasing numbers of visitors.
